Rick: Well, that's the last of the dishes. We've got a pretty good jump on the day, eh, son? Mommy thinks we can't manage, but we've already gotten you dressed, given you breakfast, and picked up the kitchen! And it only took us... three hours? Jeff: I want lunch.

That’s some sexist stuff right here. Really hilarious, men are clueless, women are the saviors of the family. Trudeau is still just as irrelevant as he was 30 years ago.

3 hours? Breakfast and clean up take 10 minutes, for me, so I wanna know why it would take 2 hours and 50 minutes to dress a kid. I guess some of it would be staring at the kid eating and fussing over everything in front of him.

That kid is old enough to dress himself.

Joanie said, “drive him to school”. Even preschoolers can dress themselves. They just need a final look over before you go out the door.

Chores always take a long time the first time you do them, especially if you are making it up yourself. Over time and repetition you create efficiency. Rick is probably trying to live up to an imagined standard (as he has never parented to this degree before), rather than asking Joannie how she does it.

@LadyJessicaYes, but Trudeau isn’t telling a story about one man, he’s trying to make a larger point. I was a stay at home dad for two years with small children and NEVER had difficulties like that. Most men I’ve known who’ve done the same also never did.
Trudeau is towing the sexist, male bashing feminist line that men are clueless about the great burden women bear on a daily basis, and it’s a bunch of bull crap.
