That happened to my husband when he was a teenager. He went to visit his father in Europe for 3 weeks, and when he was back, his mother had moved away with his sisters. She just left him a note as to where his stuff was.
My mom and dad once moved. Now they did send their new address, so they said. I guess I lost it, but I went to the town they moved to and found them. All without calling them to find out their address.

I’m looking forward to getting my own place. I will admit living on my own will get lonely from time to time but there is a such thing as “visitors”
