My first visit to an orthopedic doctor today. Knee has been swollen for some time, but really bad for the last 3 weeks, keeping me awake all night and unable to get down and weed and plant my garden so it is time. Very thankful this morning that our cold winter storm has passed and did not get to freezing levels in town. The loaded fruit trees survived! Can hardly wait for those apricots and peaches.
Love the ‘breff-a-lizer’ in catspeak. Great smart cat pictures, Beviek. The only cat pictures are smart and awesomely cute. Then there is Dennis’s dog picture. bbear – love your ‘LOVE’ picture. Made me laugh. Happy and jessegooddoggy – hope you two are back to physical perfection soon.
HappyWhen I threw my back out, everyone wanted me to go to the Chiro first thing. He said to rest and wait for the swelling/inflamation to go down first, So you did the right thing…………according to Dr. Kelly!
LROS – The post yesterday about winter in Massachusetts was spot on!Chris and I had dinner in a pub tonight called The Black Cat, in Chesham. Yes, they have a resident black cat, Rambo, who has white paws. He sat next to us while we ate, but didn’t bother us for food. He’s very sweet. The pub was featured on a BBC program recently, Cats vs Dogs. They got a group of cat owners together to see if they could recognize each of their individual cats’ voices.
So, Before going to the chiropractor today i was in no pain.I am now.And my feet are tingling. I have never had that before with any of my back problems.
@ Dry and Dustyfrom yesterday—-I only put the bit about Dazz up, ‘cause someone asked about her the day before. I still miss her, and I also remember Carmy. I saw and saved Thom’s tribute. I miss her too. It’s sad how people here are gone, and sometimes we are just left wondering why. I was attempting to answer someone’s question about her, the only way people can find out is if we ALL remember them and tell the newcomers about the wonderful people that they missed out on meeting.I remember Carmy.I remember Dazzle.I remember Wet and Soggy (both of them?)They were wonderful, kind people whose comments I eagerly read. (Yes, we know some trolls whose comments we skip .)
I seem to be "out of phase’ somehow…I’m always reading a comment from yesterday (late yesterday). I’ve been going to be at 10 PM religiously since my last heart attack…I miss out on all the late responses. The next morning/afternoon I read today’s strip and then go back to yesterday’s to see it I needed to comment. That’s why I was a day off answering about Dazz, and in answering you. My doctor insists on “proper rest”, so although I used to stay up late…I can do so no longer.
http://pjmedia.com/instapundit/230306/#respondQUESTION ASKED: What Are Cats Trying to Tell Us?
Nearly all New York State pet owners talk to their pets like they’re fellow humans, according to a recent poll. Many believe their dogs and cats can respond with barks or meows that communicate hunger, fear, or simply the need to pee.But do the animals tawk back in a Brooklyn accent? That’s the sort of thing Swedish cat lover and phonetics researcher Suzanne Schötz is working to find out.
I don’t know if my Bengal has a midwestern accent like mine, but regardless his verbal communications seem to be limited to “feed me,” “rub my belly,” and “you will now bleed.”
And there’s definitely something to be said about letting your cats free-range nibble instead of meal-feeding them (I write as both cats are running across me and meowing incessantly to let me know it is time for their supper, sigh. They won’t stop until I give in and feed them, and soon Muezza will start digging at me with his hind claws, which is how he also wakes me up every morning around 4:30 or so. Dabdoob just bites my arm until I wake up. It’s a good thing I love them – LOL)

I need advice; the vet said Moose needs HIS special food and Scooter needs different food. Great. And Casper can have either one.
How do I train them to eat only their own food?

Thanks to everyone who offered advice. Brad is now setting up the guest room for Scooter and his food.
When I go to bed hours from now, he can come out and I will put both dishes.
