    I don’t know why his joy doesn’t matter…

It’s not like she said she hates the shirt, or it’s way too tight…I think I’d get enough joy from knowing he likes to see me in it, that I’d keep it…and probably wear it.

indeed, if my hubby says he likes something I wear I have a tendency to make excuses to wear it

She does rather sound like a cold fish there, doesn’t she? I’m also wondering if there’s memories involved with it, that he’s retained but she’s forgotten. (Date together, proposal, etc sort of thing)

women tend to dress to impress other women. What men like rarely enters into the equation

That.. is what being married does. Once married comfortable replaces appealing (to the other sex). works both ways.. men seldom wear sweats on dates.

I dress to please myself. And more, if you all saw what I see as an over-fifty single on websites — males describing themselves as “athletic and toned,” it would make you want to stop dating. I have…

When a wife tells her husband, “Your joy doesn’t enter into it”, it evokes a wry smile from other men, as in, “Been there, heard that”. But if a man said that to his wife, it would sound harsh. There must be some kind of double standard at work here.
