I remember one strip from this general era: Schroeder receiving a brand-new Beethoven toy piano for Christmas! And, the complete Beethoven Symphonies (some other Beethoven records, too, probably), a Beethoven record player, a Beethoven bust, a Beethoven book set, Beethoven bubble gum, etc. Oh, and an electric train. “Now what in the world am I going to do with an electric train?”

Schulz must have really liked the Hammerklavier. How many times has it shown up so far?

Perhaps Schulz had it set as a rubber stamp… or just photo inserted it rather than draw all those tedious lines and such.

Well, that’s one way to throw yourself into your work — literally!

Did he moved from Beethoven to rock and roll? That was quite a heavy note!

“Slide, Schroeder, slide……that’s the way!”

Let’s see… he either has a slide in the house, or a piano at the playground!
Okay, okay, okay, I know… comic physics!

Bizarre!! Hammerklavier is playing on my iTunes as I brought up this strip! Time to buy a lottery ticket!
