As Ricky Ricardo would say, “Lucy [van Pelt], you’ve got some explaining to do.”

I didn’t even talked half the words she did in this strip when I was a toddler. But that aside, it’s quite cute how she use to like Charlie Brown so much.

The father says, “You can talk! Why didn’t you ever speak before?” Kid says, “Well, up till just now, everything was just fine.”

No wonder Lucy is so spoiled; her parents carved her name into her crib!

All those falls on the head when she was little! That explains Lucy’s behavior!

Very different from classic Lucy. Classic Lucy would have made Charlie Brown stand still so she could deck him for showing up while she was still in her pjs. Early Lucy is terrified of him seeing her in her pjs.

Lucy hasn’t learned to pass off her ‘sleepies’ as a space-man costume yet.
