I’m kind of fascinated by this strip. Giving it a title, as a full story rather than just a gag, and going through with it with all those details and separate conversations. Of course none of all those details can make us stop wondering until the end: What is Lucy doing??

well, that was a fun croquet game

Croquet balls do bounce. It depends on how hard you throw it on the ground, but they will bounce. I found that out the hard way.

Reading this strip, it feels like I’m watching a Robert Altman film. A lot of things going on at once. It’s a fun read. Does anyone know if Schulz did any more like this?

Anyone else notice that the colorist wasn’t paying attention to the wording. If CB is just a blue ballto Patty, that should be the color of his ball, right? Her dress and ball should not be blue. Orange or green would work better.

I remember this from when it was first printed… show how old I am, and why I bought a croquet set at a second hand store for my grandchildren…Love" Ben Hogan"’s attitude….
