Brought some pickles the other day, and was disgusted when I opened them and glanced at the ingredients list that pickling doesn’t seem to be enough to preserve things any more, they now add sulphates as a preservative…
A study indicates that artificial coloring and flavors, as well as the preservative sodium benzoate, can make some non-ADD kids hyperactive..so they can put them on Ritalin.
so strange yellow #5 can be put in food but if it is used to color drugs FDA says must have warning "his product contains FD+C Yellow No. 5 (tartrazine) which may cause allergic-type reactions (including bronchial asthma) in certain susceptible persons. " yellow #6 is a scary chemical too, no one should eat that either. Yes there was yellow #1 – #4 but they were all banned as poisonous. Why not just give up on making fake yellow coloring for food if all we have is nasty crap?
Pity the poor spirit.Years ago I picked up a can of “Campbell’s Homestyle Baked Beans,” and then I read the long list of ingredients. It looked like a catalog listing from DuPont or Monsanto. The only natural products were water and beans (at least it had real beans and not synthetic ones). I put the can back on the shelf.

Have you ever looked at the label on Cool Whip? It proudly states “An edible petroleum product”
