The author is Dr. Barbara Starfield of the Johns Hopkins School of Hygiene and Public Health and she desribes how the US health care system may contribute to poor health.

ALL THESE ARE DEATHS PER YEAR:

12,000 — unnecessary surgery7,000 — medication errors in hospitals20,000 — other errors in hospitals80,000 — infections in hospitals106,000 — non-error, negative effects of drugs

These total to 225,000 deaths per year from iatrogenic causes!!

I’d say he has already lived a long healthy life from the looks of it.

He already prepared for giving up accidents.That’s why he wears Depends.

I’ve concluded that as I age, I get stupider more prone to accidents.

The dude is already old, cut him some slack doc.
