The sad thing is that there are college students all over the country who are just like Wionna who think they need a “safe place” from the real world. COLLEGE is their safe place! I hate to think how they will get along when they enter the real world.
If all of the kids in high school who feel “different”, “outcast” and “marginalized” were all in one place, the rest of the building would be pretty empty.
Mm, yeah, this is completely unrealistic. “Safe spaces” are not created inside schools like some kind of lounge. When you think about the definition of a “safe space,” this makes sense—it’s supposed to be a place where people aren’t allowed to make personal attacks on others. Why would anyone designate part of a school as not a “safe space”? No one would.
The overreach of PC culture is drastically overstated by people who really just want license to be mean to others.

I don’t know who’s making this harder: Wionna or Zack.

She looks like a distant relative a Wednesday Addams. Maybe she should act like one and get even.

I’m sure Zack would have enjoyed a safe place when he was being bullied.
