My ‘recycle bin’ is an old UPS delivery box on my front porch that fills quite often. So junk mail travels monthly from mailbox to porch and back to the driveway trash can, placed, ironically, right next to the mailbox. I save those keys from OUR GIGANTIC OFFER car dealers (27 so far) and I’m sure that someday one of those practically identical keys will actually fit “something” and I’ll win me a new Chevvy, Kia, Buick, F-150, Subaru, (never a Mercedes) and my only hope is that I’ll win and (as a favor) will call the media to advertise that fact. A hopeless dream both on the dealer’s part and mine, too. And since I’ve turned 80, it’s all about funerals, cemeteries, and “post-life arrangements”…. aargh..
Not just the mail either. If you watch any of the channels with ’50s and ’60s TV shows and movies they are loaded with all those kinds of commercials. Time was when I was bombarded with Clearasil ads whilst watching TV.

I’m not of AARP age yet even though there are times I get mail from them.

AARP is too political for me. Especially since they don’t support my political views. I’m glad their membership is plummeting.

I still occasionally get mailings: “To the parents of…” I just smile and throw them in the recycle bin.

Plus, the funeral arrangements insurance brochures. Those are always fun to get.

My email has aged, too. Sigh.
