In the last 30 years I’ve only eaten lunch or dinner at McDonalds once. It was last summer, it was kind of an emergency (LONG story), and I was reminded why it’s been 30 years. It will probably be another 30 before I do so again.
McDonalds is (not) my kind of place, it’s been a long time since I’ve seen one that is a clean and happy place. Most of the employees seem a little brain dead and beaten down. My sister worked at one briefly and said it was one of the worst experiences of her life.
I owned a dog fondly known as ‘DumpsterDog’. We’d been hiking and I didn’t have any food left for her on the way home, so I stopped at McD’s and ordered her a burger with nothing on it (they have to make it fresh). She looked at me as if to say, “What did I do wrong?” Then she carefully ate the bun, and left the meat on the paper. I’ve never eaten at the place since.
I remember a joke game some people were playing online, and one of the challenges was to make up a new slogan for “McDonald’s”. My favorite they came up with was “I’m here, aren’t I?”
For the record, I don’t think the food at McDonalds is THAT bad. It’s not the best food ever made (not by a long shot), but it’s not the worst either. To be honest, I haven’t eaten at McDonalds for a long time, so what I just said may be irrelevant. I will say that Burger King has much better food than McDonalds, but that’s just my opinion. Sorry if I’ve offended anybody, but I just thought I’d put in my two cents.

Opus, just order the fish sandwich, no cheese or bun, and ask him to feed it to you as you lean back and choke it in.
