Just tell your dad that you have a date with an actual girl and I’m sure he’d cough up enough for you.

Studying American history in class back in grade school, High School, and College we rarely made it past Truman’s administration, and never made it to Nixon or Reagan. Reangan, of course was President for all my Junior High and High School years so I guess there really wasn’t much to talk about.

We usually spent most of our time on the British colonization, the Revolutionary War, the events leading up to the Civil War and the Civil War, and the Lincoln Assassination in the first semester. Then in the second semester Reconstruction, early Civil Rights and Jim Crow Laws, the Spanish American War, the First World War, The Great Depression, FDR, and finally World War II, and in college we finally past that hump and got to the election of Eisenhower. I only remember reaching that point because our history professor said that the Eisenhower presidency proved the US could survive without a President. Class dismissed. Essays are due on Monday and worth half your grade, and your Final Exam is on the Thursday after that.
