Breaking Bad circa 1986! Oliver needs to be a little more careful with the ether and sodium!

On august 6, 1945 the crew of the B-29 Enola Gay set off on a fateful trip to Japan. even then most of the crew didn’t know what they were going to drop.

A couple of hours into the flight the commander. col Tibbets had a conference with the crew while the copilot kept the plane on course. The men were allowed to ask any questions since they were past the point of no return.

The tail gunner asked “Are we dropping a chemist’s night mare?” meaning chemical weapons. Tibbets said no. “Are we dropping a physicist’s night mare?” Tibbet’s turned and walked away, back to the cockpit without answering.

An hour later he went on the intercom and confirmed the gunner had been correct and what was being delivered.

I loved the smell of Bactine.

Do they still make Bactine?

Oliver was a chemist, but Oliver is no more. What Oliver thought was H2O was H2SO4.

So, Oliver is practicing to be a Heavy Metal Rock & Roller?
