i do not miss smoke filled restaurants or smoke filled lungs

Smoking is for old coots anyway, bad habit.

Get the hose and tell Miss Manners to get a life.

Sadly there is indoor smoking in many places in Europe, Asia, and parts south. Thankfully we effectively banned indoor smoking a generation ago here in the USA.

If you want a reminder of why smoking is so bad, go to a nursing home and watch the people who have to stop and rest just walking down the hall because their lungs are shot. Or the people on the ‘smokers bench’ who are smoking through the trach tube hole in their throat.

It’s okay Opus! Go all Bill the Cat on them! The Entry Sign to today’s comic clearly stated, “no manners allowed”!

There is nothing in the world quite like anchovies and herring sandwiches. unless you throw-in a Lutefisk or Gefilte fish sandwich with dill pickles. Because that’s real livin’.

Went to Spain in 2002. Got a culture shock when we arrived in Madrid and smelled the cigarette smoke in the airport. It took Europe a while to ban smoking indoors.

After that last panel, I say go ahead and hose them down!

Not one comment about “the rights” of poor oppressed smokers? :-)
