I used to sit through all the movie credits so I could applaud the union labels at the end, usually to a theater that was empty besides me.
I always wondered why he couldn’t roll out.
The last panel reminds me of one of the last strips (maybe THE very last strip?) where everyone has left and we are shown all of the “old haunts” with no one in them.
