That’s a true story! I can’t concentrate on what someone is saying unless I’ve got my glasses on.. Of course that same ittle “gift” comes in handy at times when I don’t want to hear somebody droning on.
Nope, just life in the seniors, once you get older, you start reading lips without realizing it as your hearing decreases. So when speaking to elders and if you`re not looking at them, most likely, they won`t understand what you are saying
I don’t know about hearing, but I certainly can’t think as well without my glasses. I think my brain is so busy trying to sort out the fuzzy blobs that it doesn’t have time for anything else.
I’m with Opal! I think it’s because we usually do a little lip reading without even realizing it, and when our hearing gets bad, and we don’t have our glasses on, we miss that little clue.

Um… wouldn’t that be like you can’t see well in silence? My head hurts just thinking of it.

Closed captioning helps me figure out what they are saying.(Even old movies have started mumbling.)

Unfortunately, due to personal experience, I know what they mean…you can’t LIP-READ if you can’t see!!!

Reminds me of an old rock-n-roll song….“You should of seen what I heard!” Chuck Berry..Maybe?

Yup. When I’m in a group I can only really hear the people whose lips I can see — the rest just mumble.

I love sitting in the dark!
Not that I’m a depressing person. It’s just calm and quiet.

especially if you have hearing aids on the bows of your glasses.
