I am not sure what info is being exchanged between Bev and Rose, but I suspect we are going to get more youtube videos in the future. How will we ever get to bed?The Glen Campbell Wm Tell Overture was great!
@Last RoseGlen Campbell was certainly a gifted musician. Alzheimer’s is a terrible disease that decimates its victims. To me the saddest part of it is that the sufferer knows what’s happening to them, at least at first. There is a wonderful film called Iris, about the last years of the author Iris Murdoch as Alzheimer’s took its toll. It stars the great Judi Dench in the title role. Well worth watching.
For anyone who doesn’t know, the Lone Ranger theme music is only the last few minutes of Rossini’s William Tell Overture. The whole thing, which is the overture to an opera, lasts about 12 minutes and is absolutely beautiful. It opens with an extended, mournful passage featuring at least 6 solo cellos (I forget the exact number). For this reason it is a favorite of orchestral cello sections, where opportunities to solo are rare. A pastoral section featuring an extended English Horn solo follows. The English Horn is very similar to the oboe, but slightly longer and with a bulbed “bell” at the end. It’s played by one of the oboists. THEN you get the fanfare used for the Lone Ranger. It is a very popular piece, often put on “pops” programs, and great fun to listen to.
My “thing” with rabbits here on GoComics is just a running gag for me. When it comes to wildlife, for me, birds is IT.I have had a life long fascination with birds. Mom told me that it goes back to before i was a toddler.Apparently, when i was just learning to stand upright i would hang onto the bars of a crib that my parents put in a bay window and watch the birds in the bushes out the window. Its not surprising that i care for six birds as well as my dog.
I uploaded a documentary showing footage of the murders. that is what it was. out right slaughter. other links at this site I have, you can see Mark Kitchell’s Berkeley in the 60’s.

Todd better watch out, the Birds of Ballard are particularly aggressive, and don’t like mockery, at all. No siree……

Finches take advantage of Grinches by inches. In the clinches, Ted flinches when it pinches…
