Somewhere in a barn in southeastern Ohio 11 years ago this month a litter of part Maine Coon kittens was born. One of them, my Tabby, thrives today shedding on my carpet. Here are two pics to celebrate his uncertain birth date:

Dry and LadyKat thanks for missing me ……. found out that they are selling the building I am living in. That means that after some improvements, they will be changing from low income (HUD) to market value rents. I will probably be looking for a place to live come the first of the year again. Sure wish the “dust would settle” in my life. Kids are doing okay. The place I am in is so small they are on top of each other and fighting more. Precious had to go to the vet last week and is on antibiotics. It was just a teeth cleaning but Buster has been in her face and all over her since she got home. Of course, she hates it. Still wishing I could give them sunshine and a little bit more room. Keep thinking good thoughts.

bbear: That Home Depot cat probably works at our local store. I use the term “work” loosely.

Surprisingly, QoA, you get better service at Home Depot locally than at Lowes.

Weather here on the coast yesterday was wonderful!It even got to be TOO hot.

I can’t get to the library on the weekends because of my work hours (I am off this coming Saturday though :-) Anyway, I wanted to thank Noreen Klose for the crazy cat lady starter kit she posted a couple days ago. I love it!

Yesterday’s cat lady parking space picture was hilarious. Love today’s cat boxing with the chicken and the grilling cat. Love the beach pictures too. I’m a summer person and it never gets too hot for me. Oh heck – all the pictures are great!

Our weather has been chilly, wet and windy. We’re finally getting a better day today and it may get up to 70 degrees tomorrow for my day off. Today is my Friday and I’m off the next 2 days. I have 200 strawberry plants to plant in my back yard garden. Soon I will start planting my real garden out at my brother’s place in the country. I plant corn, green beans, potatoes, carrots, tomatoes, squash, sweet potatoes, marigolds, zinnias and sometimes pumpkins. Putting in sunflowers this year too to feed the birds.

Rainy and cold here in Boston. Thinking about it, it was 10 years ago last month that Rosie, a stray, presented us with a litter of kittens in the backyard. We still have siblings Cass and Timon, and Little Bear, from a subsequent litter in August.
