A somewhat enlarged version, of this slightly-cropped image, can be found at Mr. Melcher’s blog entry (yesterday). A smaller, full image can be found here.Examination of a Witch (link shows pertinent Wikipedia page) isn’t, as far as I can tell, currently shown online by its current-location.At least, that’s where this and this (both have a description) say it is. A different coloration, maybe-click-to-enlarge image can be found here. The artist’s Wikipedia page and collection.Second (just added my comment for that painting there), of the 2 works, by this artist, that have, so far, appeared in Mr. Melcher’s blog, to appear also here (2 total).
A painting of men, good Christian men, examining a woman for the “witches mark” is oddly appropriate for today’s Republicans. They just lost a Supreme Court justice who believed that Satan is a real person and would it surprise anyone if many of the evangelicals believe that there are witches? Did Cruz check out Fiorina for the mark as a way of vetting her? Does Ted Cruz believe that Harry Potter is a documentary? Just wondering,
Girl in the white top seems to be doing the dirty version of the Macarena while dude in the black skull cap is doing the hokey-pokey (Left foot in and you shake it all about!)
