sigh Sadly, postcards are a dying breed, as everyone just Instagrams everything these days. Can barely find them any more at museum gift shops and tourist traps.
In the “old” days, the first thing you did when checking into your place was to buy lots of post cards. When I was at camp, stamps for a post card were 2 cents apiece.
My grandfather was an avid stamp collector, but only would save canceled stamps, so every vacation he would mail empty envelopes to himself, so that he had the stamps with the post marks from where he was
I have lots of postcards but the majority of them are not addressed to me. I have one actual postcard from my auntie. The rest are just a collection you could say.xxx

Always keeping your sister on her toes, Charlie Brown… and on the readers’ toes too.

Why send it if you know it will arrive after you? Can’t you just wait to give it in person?

My relative went to Cuba and sent us a postcard, and we didn’t get it until a few weeks after her return.

But writing postcards to a dog does not phase Sally.
