For all the trouble he causes, Cupid could very well be Duke. I think they must teach the classics here.

I love Justin’s attention to detail! The Greek piping on the tunic (as seen in every Greek pizza place). The hearts on Cupid’s arrows (as mentioned by Baslim). The implied engraving on the hilt of the musketeer’s sword. Even the reflection on Ms. Nature’s apple. Always a delight to admire Justin’s art.

(And speaking of attention to detail: GEE, the word you want is “curriculum”, singular. “Curricula” is plural, altho I prefer “curriculums” in my campaign to stamp out as many non-standard plurals in English as possible: indexes, not indices; aquariums, not aquaria; phenomenons, not phenomena. Are you with me, people?!)

Cupid reminds me of Jack Nicholson.

Why aren’t Tristan and Isolde just upper classmen at this school? LOL!

I think he looks like Duke also, but talks like Nicholson. As to the musketeer my guess would be Athos or Aramis (probably the latter).

I wonder which one brought the apple. lol.

I agree the Musketeer is Aramis. Too old to be D’Artagnan, too slim to be Porthos, and more serious than Athos. Also digging the irony of his line.

Sharp, son, very sharp. You know, from this angle, Cupid bears a startling resemblance to Jack Nicholson…

I flashed on Duke too, but the idea of Nicholson as Cupid is just too priceless.

As to the plurals pschearer, NO! In the case of Latin words they should be pluralized as in Latin, not English. It’s taken us years to teach the media that the plural of referendum is referenda. We’re not turning back now.

Most heartily do I concur with stpatme on Latin plurals. Of course, in the interest of full disclosure, I also believe that college admission requirements should still include Latin, Greek, and at least French and German. (That would sure put a dent in the home-schooling proponents, at least in the USA!)

But Roger-bnT1to1, If they taught all that in the public schools, when would they have time to study for the ‘No Child Left Behind’ tests? . (I only took Latin)
