I was not actually trying to do this , but I imitated my dad, with a the parsley sprig that some restaurants put on the plates, as a garnish, to my grandson, by eating it as if I was a dinosaur. He transferred that to broccoli and became a fan of it, at age 3. He would eat it raw or cooked, with or without any sauces(his favorite was raw with ranch dip).

and I used to tell kids that lima beans made them grow bigger faster and summer squash made light shoot out of their ears.

Throw in the Easter Bunny, Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy and you get an idea of why so many kids have trust issues
