Sorta thought of the alligator that got that little boy at Disney……..Louie doesn’t know how much he is loved. Or spoiled.

“…There’s other sticks…” It should be …“There ARE other sticks…” because the word sticks is plural.

Without the apostrophe, it would read “…There IS other sticks…”There are many grammatical errors that bother me and this one is near the top of the list.

I’m getting down from my soapbox now.

My three favorite comic strips are, in no particular order, Overboard, Ten Cats and Pearls Before Swine.

I’m with you Capp Kidd. sad timing to run this after the gator attack in Disney.

For goodness sakes… they are pirates … not grammar professors.And without intending to sound callous, there are always bad things going on in the world. Cartoons/ comics are a way to sort of remove that stuff from the focus… if you allow them to.It would be different if it was intentionally directed at some current event but I’m sure it wasn’t.

Language is what is spoken in day to day conversation.Grammar appears in print.
