Umm, more or less, this has already happened. IDW Comics published a 6- or 8-issue mini-series where the eleventh Doctor teamed-up with the crew of Star Trek: the Next Generation, and it even included a flashback sequence of the fourth Doctor meeting the original Trek crew.

Actually, my boss on CBG told of a little boy at a DW convention telling Tom Baker he looked like Harpo Marx. Baker then did a perfect Harpo face.
