You could always come west and deal with the constant threat of earthquakes.

A couple years ago we had 70°F and tornadoes for New Years around St. Louis. Oh yeah, and we’re still waiting for the New Madrid fault just south of us to let loose with another big one too.

I don’t think there is anywhere you can live without the threat of either Tornadoes, hurricanes, mudslides, snow (greater than 2"), or earthquakes.

My bet is that we get both the super-volcano and mega earthquake on the same day…

I few years ago I was working at my desk when suddenly my office chair started moving around and the pictures rattled on the wall! I immediately thought “earthquake?” It was only a few seconds and I went out to the front lobby and asked if any one else had felt it…no one had. It was confirmed that evening on the news that we had experienced a small earthquake on the Outer Banks of NC!

SportymonkYou left out tsunami. With sea level rise, this could easily overflood many Pacific islands from earthquakes on the other side of the ocean.

I don’t know about tornado season, but June 1 is the official start of Atlantic hurricane season.

Yep, as long as warm unstable moist Gulf air collides with dry colder continental air an form cold fronts and Thunderstorms, tornados are possible.
