There was a scenic lookout on the highway we used to use to get to a favorite destination. Usually there was an ice cream truck there. I used to get banana fudgesickles and they were hard as a rock because the guy used dry ice to cool the ice cream.

When the Mister Softee truck came by, we’d ask my dad for some money and he’d tell us to get him a vanilla cone.

“Turkey in the Straw”, around here. Of course, they don’t sell ice cream, just lots of different popsicles (which are just fine when it’s hot enough)

Those things just drive me nuts. They always show up at baseball parks where the concession stands are already selling the same stuff.

Soooooo mean!

Yesterday, a friend and I heard what must have been an ice cream truck playing Christmas songs! A tinkling version of “Silent Night” in June is seriously weird.

I’ve heard “Entry of the Gladiators(The Circus Song)”, “The Entertainer”, “Turkey in the Straw”, “Pop goes the Weasel”, and others I can’t quite remember.
