Not out of the British Open, instead its from “Happy Gilmore”. Last scene, Happy bounces it off the “water closet”, then the VW hood, then the metal platform frames…..into the hole!!! So where is “Shooter McGavin and where is the big guy with the nail in the head?
A brick post supporting rail fencing? C’mon! Nice reference BillyGoat. I think the Happy Gilmore writers took the idea from “Tin Cup” and enhanced it. Torrey looks nervous. Wonder if Gil is still behind her, smiling.
Hey, Bucky Katt: Continuing yesterday’s discussion of finishing holes. They redid Congressional so that the old 17th is now the 18th and the old 18th par three is now the 10th. I’ve only played the course once, but I like the new setup better for watching tournaments there.
Hit the ball, chase the ball, tap the ball.
Riveting.
YAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWNNNNNNNN!
Kemper after losing in the playoff, (the strip drags out for another week) he tosses out his clubs and takes up
football and Gil discovers he is the best field goal kicker ever at Milford.
Look at that club in P3, its the magic 1 iron again, you would think if the artists (?) are going to draw for golf stories they would at least know what clubs looks like and when they would be used. No way that ball ever leaves the ground.

Torrey Peake may know her way around a whip, but she knows nothing of how a normal “Gil Thorp” story is supposed to go.

Maybe Cassie plays… oh never mind she graduated.

P3, when was the last time you saw colored stripes at the top of white tube socks, or coloerd tube socks?

I have seen some incredible golf shots in my day. Physics is a great science field to study. Ask Jason Fox! SQUARE ROOT OF SIXTEEN!

Sure hope Miguel Jimenez gets a nod for his Road Hole shot in tomorrow’s strip. Gil -hand out the trophy and let the drilling begin.

I see a two stroke penalty coming up as Stiles takes a Titleist to his mellon! Kemper wins.

If there’s another British Open reference in this strip, I’m hoping for a sixty foot putt like Costantino Rocca’s back in 1995.

breadpudding…..Torrey doesn’t have man’s hands. That’s Gil’s hand. I wonder where his other one is.

rumpple, I don’t know about that, when I use my shoe wedge it is magic and the ball does leave the ground that way. Know what I mean?
