Well, I figured I finally owed you an explanation.

Wow, what an exciting strip….yawn….Zzzzz.

Yeah, the speed with which it spun and landed hard enough to type through three carbons seemed to defy the law of conservation of angular momentum. I thought I was in heaven back in 1980 when I planned to upgrade to one with a correcting key. And, since I type in more than one alphabet and also use mathematical characters, it was a joy not to have to remove a key and insert a key for each special character. Then in 1985 I got my first IBM PC, the toaster oven with TWO 5.25" floppy drives. I got mathematical software (TeX) and that baby would TYPESET a whole page in just 30 seconds. (The 2016 version I’m using will typeset a 400-page book in about ten seconds!) Those were the days….

Watson, who founded and ran IBM, was an advanced neurotic, and it was apparently a well-founded rumor that every man (and there were few women!) among his workers HAD to wear a white shirt and a striped four-in-hand tie. (NOT a bow tie. Sorry, GT, you got that part wrong.)

Three and a half hours of hostile questions is a cup of tea to HRC after Banjo Boy’s committee. Sure glad I don’t live in Jack’s world. And I’m no Hilbot.

Since I believe that Trudeau purposely did this strip to avoid politics on this beautiful (in NY anyway) July 4th Sunday, I will avoid posting any political statements on this thread.Enjoy the remainder of your weekend!
