Adoptioins: Apparently PetCo has a new rule. If a customer wants to pet a cat in the condo, they are not allowed to unless one of us is there. We understand them not being allowed to take one OUT, but not to be able to even pet the kitty with the employee standing there?
This means one of us, mostly Susan, with me being next, would have to drive out there. For me, it’s 15 miles one way. For Susan it’s closer to 25 miles one way.
Not a comment on this strip but I just want to put this out there… Just as I was leaving my house to go to the library to get to the Internet and my comics, I had a phone call. Caller ID said North Carolina call. Not knowing anyone from North Carolina, I let the machine pick it up. It was someone claiming to be from the IRS saying the IRS was filing a lawsuit against me. I know it’s a scam and it doesn’t scare me a bit. But I hope my family here at Ten Cats all know about this scam and DON"T FALL FOR IT. It sure sounded legit, except they didn’t ask for me by name, so I know they don’t even know who I am. Robo- calls are bad enough when they don’t say anything, but worse yet when they lie and scam you1
With regard to the scammers, here’s what I do. As soon as I pick up and know what they are, I whisper something like, OK, John, it’s you. It’s all done. They are all dead and I want my money! Tortured, just like you wanted. I get a pretty big click real quick!
We were out yesterday and saw that there’s a burger and pizza place that will be opening not far from us called Big Man’s Food. Has our cat set up his own business behind our backs? Of course, knowing our Big Man, he’d eat all the food before it got a chance to be sold!
@Laughingkitty: Oh, yeah…those damn Robocalls. Thank goodness for Caller ID. And, my step daughter’s Facebook ID was stolen and someone, with horrendous English, contacted her friends. The grammar was the tip off for me and I phoned her immediately. One of my kids and an acquaintance were also contacted.
My nephew also likes to answer and ‘torture’ Robocallers as only he can. I don’t have the inclination to spend even a second talking to them!!!!
There is proposed legislation, in NY at least, to have the phone companies allow customers to block these types of calls. We’ll see…..

Between the robo calls and the political junk. 8 out of 10 calls here go unanswered.

I agree with this “catitude”. I feel the same way.
Not sure which joints are “crispy”, some days it’s ALL of them!

When I get a robo call number I don’t recognize, I answer in a voice with a bad speech impediment. They really get frustrated.
