If link doesn’t work, google Pennsylvania Clear Tracks Ahead.
The section of interest begins about 21.46 minutes. The T-1 locomotive class that is pictured during construction and testing was a late attempt to achieve high efficiency and speed with steam. There were several reports of speeds in excess of 100 mph with a regular length train with an unofficial instance where a T-1 was estimated to moving at 134 mph based on timing between two points. There were several issues with this class of locomotive, notably wheel slippage at speeds and a restricted range where it could run due to the long rigid wheelbase. There were 52 of this model built and all were scrapped although there is currently an effort to recreate one from scratch. (Google T-1 locomotive preservation.)
