I worked that sched for one job that I hated. By the time I got home, was so wiped out that I couldn’t do anything. Did that 5 days a week. Was so tired that weekends were a loss too. The 1 hour lunch? Unpaid, but was always reachable by pager. They had you for 9 hours. Gladly gave my notice for a better job. About 6 months after I left, I learned they went out of business.

8 to 5 with an hour off for lunch? remember it well. And if you came back early, you could work but you didn’t get paid for it. :/
