Arlo: Many ancient cultures lit ritual bonfires on summer solstice! Janis: And where were these ancient cultures? Arlo: Northern Europe, Scandinavia, largely. Janis: That's what I thought!
Maybe they should shuck their cloths and try some other pagan solstice rituals.
What about people who live on or near the equator?
We still do this in Norway. St.hansbål :D
Mississippi coast? not so much.
Fires work great to keep mosquitoes at bay,and take the chill from the air if you live North of 49.
North to Alaskago north the rush is on
for folks south of the equator that would be the winter solstice.
Thursday to be exact.
Ha ha you got me there Susan, although I don’t hunt any more, just fish. But good grief you got to get a fire going at night,it’s primal,it’s instinct!
You should live where I live, somebody is lighting a fire every night…usually illegally….can’t ever leave the windows open because of the stink.
