Not spit, more like superglue.

Wait, is that a strike or a ball? What a dilemma! Oh wait… maybe it’s a foul ball!

So it’s a spitball. There are no rules in Calvinball.

So that’s where his gum went.

Hate to say it, but that’s one of the reasons we have umpires. In this case, the umpire is probably Hobbes. So Calvin’s complaint will go for naught.

Looks like far too much pine tar on the bat to me, Calvin.

I didn’t think a bat could be on steroids but there is the proof.

Interesting — I mentioned “The Indispensible Calvin and Hobbes” here yesterday. Today I got an invitation from Amazon to buy (another) copy.
