How can the mother not know? Unless where they are in the last panel is at the beach, they would’ve needed a ride. And Nate couldn’t bring Peter to the doctor’s office, since he’s not his legal guardian.

I think they are getting Peter checked at the doctors provided by the beach. It says first aid Station. Its not a doctors office really it just a place for cuts and scrapes.

Yes, any fault in this case lies with Peter’s Mom for not saying something about allergies…especially since she made the point of telling Nate about needing to keep the sunblock well-applied.
