Yeah, I can envision that.

Why do we never hear from Flo’s Father in all of this?

Flo’s mom knew Andy was a wrong ’un..

I’ve been thinking about this – I reckon Flo must have been working as a barmaid or a) how would they have met otherwise and b) Andy just thought ‘free beer for life’.. and c) that she probably has a sofa..

They say that women marry men who resemble their father. If that were true in Flo and Andy’s case, then no wonder her mum had to be restrained !

Odd that you should say that….. nobody gives a damn about your remarks, either! Wouldn’t you just love it if you were the only person commenting?

One of my favorite classics (paraphrasing here):Flo and Andy are having a fight, although things haven’t yet been taken to the fight cloud level.Flo: “Me mother was right, I should have ditched yer!”Andy: “Yer mean yer mum was against me marrying yer?”Flo: “Yes, she was, bless her!”Andy (sobbing): “Oh, how I’ve wronged that poor woman!”Flo: "Shaddap!:

As for Flo’s father, I don’t recall him ever being mentioned. Andy did mention his own father at least once. Flo accused Andy of never caring about anybody but himself. Andy turns to the reader, musing, and says, “She’s wrong, yer know. I miss me grandmother. She used to stop me dad from thumping me.” One of the only poignant moments in all of Andy history, probably!

Mothers know best! But at the end of the day it’s Flo’s life.

And she ruined it.
