Good to see Calvin taking care of himself and not bothering his Mother.

So make sure you have an excuse when the kitchen explodes. Or at least a way out of town…

My boys love to help a little too much sometimes. It can be tough to tell them the best way to help me is to let me do it myself because I do want to encourage cooperation and initiative. It gets a little easier as the flames get closer to the ceiling.

Somebody better call the firemen like, right now. Nothing has happened… but it will.

The recipe did say "add two eggs’.

It didn’t say anything about leaving out the shells!

I never did like to eat egg shells.

Lesson 1: If you’re going to put all of whatever it is into one pot/pan, make sure said pot/pan is large enough to hold it all.

I tried that same approach with a carrot cake I tried to make for my wife.

The results weren’t pretty.
