Great pics, everybody. Paul and I are back from vacation in Montreal. Had a wonderful time. There are almost as many churches as there are bars. It was good to recognize old landmarks and show them to Paul.
It’s Caturday. And to celebrate, my interwebs sources presented me with a lot of catitude and scatological humor today. So apologies in advance.Caturday catitude.
For the third day in a row, I uploaded a certain number of pictures to Photobucket. But when I posted them here, I got a different number. Today, I uploaded 17 pictures, but when I posted the code here, there were 18 pictures. Is this a sign of impending senility or is Photobucket playing an elaborate joke on me?cute:
Went up to Cedar City and stopped at Chilis for lunch. There was a small dog, like a Pomeranian, in a pickup that was closed up tight. No window cracked. It was 82 outside you can guess how hot the truck was. The dog was barking its little head off but we couldn’t hear it – THAT’S how closed up it was.
We went in and when the hostess asked “how are you today?” I said, “Right now I’m pretty pissed off.” Then I showed her the truck. She said she would try to find out who it belonged to.
Well, I’m not waiting for that. We sat down and I called my sister in PA and said, in a loud voice because I wanted people around me to hear this " Would you look up the phone number for animal control and the police department in Cedar City because…". The older couple next to melooked daggers at me, got up and left. Want to guess what they were driving?
I will never understand how people can be so stupid. As much as we hear and read about pets and children in hot cars, people still don’t think it applies to them.
Why, why, why do people feel the need to take the dog everywhere on days like this? Leave the dog at home.
Story#2
Yesterday there was a video of a little poodle dog in a hot car at some big event. Some people had it announced over the PA system that this little dog was in major distress. Nobody showed up. An older guy couldn’t stand it and broke the window with a brick and got the dog out.
It was almost an hour more before the owners showed up.They said they heard the announcement but oh, it certainly couldn’t be them – the left the windows cracked and the sun room open. Idiots.
All of our kittens except one got adopted this weekend. One little guy went back to his foster home but his sister is still there so he still has a playmate. The sister was too little to get spayed last week and is going next week.
I have Calvin, and orange and white guy. He’s been at the shelter for 2 months. He had to have some teeth removed, which LInda was against. She said “he’ll be fine.” In pain and can’t eat, but fine. Grrr..
Susan snuck him out and had it done. But now he has drainage in his eyes.. Again, Linda said not to bother taking him to the vet. He’ll be fine.
Again, Susan snuck him out. I picked him up at the vet office and got the story about what it is, but all I remember is bleeding is involved.
He needs ointment 3 times a day. They never, ever give cats meds at the shelter, even when we buy them and take them there. Grrrr..
So, I have him and he already looks better. The doc said if he was right about the diagnosis, he should be better in 3 or 4 days. He’s a nice boy. Knowing he’s missing some teeth, i’m giving him those Fancy Feast meat and broth packets twice a day. He still eats the kibble a lot, but I want to make it easier for him.

Casper and his scrubby. I know he has it when I hear the plastic handle bonk on the tile or wood flooring.
