DO STUPID THINGS FASTER
Caulfield: Nice.
Frazz: It's a modern classic.
Caulfield: I have never seen a t-shirt more in need of a hurried-up typo.
Frazz: That may be one layer beyond most people who aren't you.
Jack… yeah, that’s what I was thinking….Not that I can keep up with Caulfield, but he’s probably saying that a typo would make the shirt seem to prove its own point.
Well, thank you everyone for trying to explain this. When it takes 40 comments and we’re still not sure, then the joke probably isn’t working. (My best guess was Caulfield wanted the shirt to say “Do stupid things farter,” because …. farts.)

Hate to admit it, but it’s one layer beyond me, too—I’m not Caulfield!

If there were a typo, it would be an illustration of something done too fast, i.e. stupidly.

never mind the t-shirt. It needs to be on a big mug.

I’m glad I have GoComics. Couldn’t read the tee shirt in the LA Times copy.

Gayle Bower Coffee is supposed to be a stimulant (makes the heart beat faster in some).

What about a typo that changed the meaning? Like “Do stupid things fester?”
