Good morning, everyone. Love the pics today. Yum Yum brought in a very indignant cicada this morning. She dropped it at my feet and it proceeded to buzz its way around the floor. She batted it around a bit, picked it up again, and brought it back outside.
Right now I hear some cats making odd noises. Do I really want to know what they’re up to? Probably not.
The other night, I was in bed watching tv and Moose came in, stood behind the door that was opened about 2 feet. He just stood there, sometimes peeking around it. He was waiting for Calvin to come by so he could jump out at him. Which is exactly what finally happened. Then they ran up and down the hall for a few minutes. I don’t think I have ever seen Moose make such a calculated move.
Loved all the pictures today – especially the cats in the snow. It’s going to be 95 here in North Idaho today and as much as I don’t like the snow, it sounds pretty good today.
Yesterday I posted that I discovered my cat was drinking my coffee. I found out just today that caffeine is like a poison to cats and dogs. So please DO NOT give your cat or dog any coffee or tea.
Good morning from a VERY HOT California! It will be 112 today so got to keep all the cats hydrated and ice in all the water dishes! They like to play with it, even the feral colony is getting ice. I have dampened the ground where the laze about during the hottest part of the day and they all seem content and not going anywhere!
Love the pics and comments today, even the squirrel! “Tea Time” I am glad you found out about the caffeine thing.
Got to go save the printer. The big Siamese, Scotty, is trying to see if it moves!
@Neal….I too have been filling the downstairs water dish with ice cubes several times a day…the dog likes it the most while Oliver tries to remove a cube and bat it around the floor. Good for your efforts with the feral colony. It’s been horribly hot and humid in NYC…this is day 7 or 8. Can’t wait for news of a cold front coming… but where is it? The dog and Christopher lie down in front of the AC when it is on. Oliver and Tyler, being short hairs, make due just stretching out nearby. This heat just drains the ambition out of us all.
@Bev and Rose: thanks for the pictures of snow and cats (especially snow).

Penny loved jumping into snow and tunneling through it. Cafe was indignant at even the thought. Fun to see both react to snow.

The vegan cat food should be called “how to kill your cat” Who would make a Vegan cat food?

Vegan Cat food is pet abuse! Unless it is made from vegans. ;)

Think about it, Vegans have been eating Vegan………they themselves wouldn’t be very healthful to eat.
