I was surprised that the kids didn’t get up and walk out as soon as they were told to ditch their phones. Especially in this Pokemon Go era…

As the mom of a kid going off to college soon, I’m sure this will hit home fairly soon. At the same time, even when I first left home, I recall that it was an adjustment. Every generation has to learn how to get along in the world independently. In some ways, things have been easier for these kids, but there was also more expected, not just good grades and extracurricular activities, also part time jobs and what is called service hours, many hours of volunteering, etc.

In many ways she’s more a libertarian than a liberal, she’s just totally deluded on gun control being anything other than the ability to hit your target and a government act forbidden by the Constitution.

Hee hee! What a wonderful way to wake up!

Downright Onion-esque in your contemporary surrealism reportage, Gary.

@ Jack’s World, get a massage or a yoga class, your liver’s overheated, and you’re annoying.

You must not crucify humanity upon a cross of gold! Sorry, but my feelings about William Jennings Bryan are just so strong, they overwhelm whatever everyone else is talking about.

Trust me, the younger generation doesn’t appreciate it either. The message we’re getting is “You’re too stupid and incompetent to make it in the real world, so don’t even try.”

Wha? No mention of the membership of any of these “neocons, war profiteers, corporatists, moneyed interests, unrepentent [sic original] environmental polluters, committed promoters of fossil fuel fracking, and strident architects of the dreaded TPP” in the Tri-Lateral Commission?Things are really slipping over there in Jack’s World. Remember what I’ve told you over and over and over again – MORE LAYERS OF FOIL!!!

Perhaps you should check your own “comment” history for references to tinfoil, Mr. World. But then again, I’m sure you are convinced otherwise, as you don’t seem phased whatsoever when confronted with silly little things such as “facts” or “truth,” as your mind seems to be made up, irrespective of the scenario.

Now, giving a quick shout-out to the 16th century proverbs you seem wont to espouse, let’s give this one a go:

“The fish always stinks from the head downwards.”

Who knows, maybe it will come in handy for you in the next gathering of your local debating society. Or do you only “debate” online?

“Hypocrite much?”.That is a noun, not a verb.

Hypocrite very? would come closer to acceptable for your teacher.
