    This is my favourite Doonesbury arc (the culmination of course having been the death, oh and the bargain with god). I guess the romanticism here just underlines the cruelty in all the rest of the stories.

    Pascal’s Wager. As much as anything else, the deference given to this cowardly, calculating justification for conformity to the impossible convinced me religion was not for me.
