Looks like Gary has a few issues to work out.

A vampire that needs humans to survive is no stronger than the rest of us.

Gary, you are pathetic. Are you looking for pity? You’ll get none from Leopold, nor from me….

If anything, it favors stealth and freedom of movement. You don’t have to outrun humans to capture and kill them. Snakes are slower than birds or deer but eat both of them here in Florida (along with alligators and probably a small child every now and then)..Being helpless in sunlight is definitely not a superpredator characteristic, too easy to kill the predator when helpless.
