Trump says he always wanted a Purple Heart, but didn’t elect to ENLIST to go for one, didn’t have to be drafted, which he dodged.
With a lot of friends who were awarded the Purple Heart, and knowing that not all disabled veterans ever got Purple Hearts because the “paperwork” never got done; I think it appropriate to at least make Donald one who could have been awarded. BTW, one sargeant got one for falling on a horseshoe stake during a mortar attack, and I know one officer who got one, and a bronze start, when he was miles away from the action. Yep, that paperwork, and officers getting awards will bring back memories for a lot of enlisted who got squat! (Other than life-long disabilities!)
It took a long time but my father finally got one for the shrapnel that kept egressing from his back when I was a child. Getting one for free without a wound just makes a mockery of everyone who got one or should have gotten one. But then, he is just a mockery of a candidate, and a human.
Remember during the 2000 election when voters, primarily Republican, were loudly complaining about what a smug a$$hole Al Gore was? Where are those voices now that Trump is their candidate?
You’ll notice that of ALL the Trump supporters who post here defending Trump’s various ugly statements and general buffoonery, NOT ONE can say anything in defense of Trump, only some variation of Hatred Of Hillary.
Hillary put up with grilling from committed foes for ten hours, and was later criticized for flicking a piece of lint from her shoulder. Trump can’t take a comment, a baby’s cry, a tweet, or an unflattering picture. Let’s focus on a lot of things he’s said, and see if he ever manages to come close to something true and somewhat human a time or two.
