Since when do they not work together? I read Cathy every day but I’ll admit most of it goes in one ear and out the other. When did Charlene become a stay-at-home mom? Did she just dissappear after she got pregnant?

And this is her SECOND child? How out-of-the-loop can Cathy get?

Nothing makes you more aware of how time is galloping past than other people’s children. Your own, you don’t notice growing day by day, but when you meet old friends, they look pretty much the same but their kid goes from toddler to teenager to fully qualified doctor.

FromSueB1863: I’m betting that the final week of the strip will find Cathy getting pregnant.

That’s the word we’ve been hearing. We’ll just have to wait and see next month.

It’s been a while since we’ve heard about Charlene. But wouldn’t she send out a birth announcement? I know people are busy, but still…

Cathy was probably shopping.

When I first saw Charlene with the baby, I guessed that she would say it was her second one since so much time has passed since we last saw Charlene. No mention yet as to gender of the kids, or names.

Charlene and Cathy have both worked for Mr. Pinkly since day one. Charlene was the company’s receptionist. She must have become a stay at home mom when her first was born because we never saw her again after she announced to Cathy that she was pregnant.

Who wants to take bets that a baby is the way the strip ends? The betting should be…..Cathy and Irving pregnant or…..Cathy and Irving adopting like Guisewite did in real life.

I’m getting ready to reconnect with old friends so this strip really hits home with me. I completely understand how time and people get away from us. It’s scary how fast time passes.

I was thinking as you summerdog – this baby was much too young to be the one we last heard of – how many years ago? It’s sad that this story line was not followed – it could have been such fun.
