Paraquat, the dandy, draw "binky," prolix adenoid dan, the hobo serenader, sinus major, office building, spongebrain cowpats. winter skywatch the winter sky is just filled with celestial objects and constellations, most of them so lurid, embarrassingly absurd or flat-out tedious that you have to wonder why any sane grown-up person would even consider standing outside and rubbernecking in the middle of the night when it's barely ten degrees above zero. Arm with pinchy thing, hammer and spatula. Little face-looking part with 3-d camera. I don't know what this is. Martian rover I mean, they've got robots to do that outer space stuff now! And the robots are really cute, too, in a star-wars-comic-relief-robot kind of way. So just plop down in your chair and watch some live NASA footage on TV! With your 3-d classes on it'll be just like you're really on mars! Man: Ooh, look - martians! Martian: Hey NASA! Your damn rover bit my kid!

Now I have to look up what a paraquat is. I like the banjo guy too. Was it Charles Shultz who said " everyone should be given a banjo at their birth"?

I love winter nights when Sinus Major ascends in the early evening skies. And watching the Sneezeroid meteor showers!

Sadly, stargazing is much less rewarding than it was in the days of ancient Greece. Air pollution has made the small lines that connect the stars well nigh invisible. Just a bunch of white dots now.
