June: Ralph, isn't it nice to eat dinner alone together? Ralph: Sure is, honeybunch! I'm going back for seconds! June: I'm going to get some soup! Ralph: Pizza time! June: I need to try the muffins! Ralph: At the buffet, eating "alone together" is an accurate description!

Last time I went to a buffet, I got up to get a glass of milk and the server had cleared my booth, including tossing my hat, coat, and sunglasses in the Lost n Found!

If they were polite, they would go up at the same time, wait for the other person to return before eating, and then not return to the food bar until the other person was also ready to return. Any time we have gone to a buffet (and we go at least once a week) that is what we do.
