Lupin: The Woman is slowing down. Elvis: Lupin, for some time The Woman has been increasing in size. This week her size has pinned her to the couch, where she now lives with Puck watching British mystery shows. Puck: Can't comment now. If you miss the first 10 minutes you're lost for the rest of the episode. Lupin: Elvis, is there any explanation for the Woman's size? Elvis: Puck has reported feeling a series of "taps" from the Woman's belly. Puck, can you elaborate? Puck: Shhhhhhhhh. Lupin: Elvis, what do you mean by "taps"? Belly: Tap, tap tap tap...kick, kick, kick, tap, tap tap tap. Elvis: Seems to be some kind of code... Lupin: Puck, what do you think is going on? Puck: Lupin, I'm pretty sure the mysterious aunt with the missing brooch did it. Lupin: Elvis, your thoughts? Elvis: I think as long as whatever is in there never gets out, I think we're alright.

I think it was the rather creepy vicar.
Love Puck swiping at Elvis for distracting him from the show.

British TV is different from American TV. I agree about being lost after the first 10 minutes. (Isn’t that what Puck said??)

I watch several shows from the UK,. Some are from England, one is from Ireland, one is from Austrailia. They are either on tv or Netlix and I agree about the first 10 minutes. I don’t know about “the woman” but I have to use closed captioning or I don’t understand half of what it said.

Poor Elvis must have watched Alien! I love how adaptable Puck is. If his Woman wants to spend all day on the sofa, he’ll spend it with her.

“So long as what ever is in there never get’s out. . . " oh dear . . . I think Elvis is going to be very disappointed. ;p

I love this episode with all its implications. When it ran the first time, a reader who knows Morse Code translated what the taps were saying.

With my first one, I was on the couch watching American Bandstand, and it took me a long time to recover after the baby came. With the second…well, we had a barbecue that Sunday, after everyone went home, I took a shower and we went to the Hospital. I was rarin’ to go when I got back home two days later……..just sayin’

The boys are in fora big surprise. Not only is “what is in there” coming out, but it is colonizing. Soon to come-free automobile massages and stickers for potty use.

The Brits have it just as bad with American shows being shown over there.

@poppet bearYour room mate was right, that’s not English!! When we watched the first season of 55 degrees north my Geordie hubby had to translate a lot for me. After 15 years of various English tv shows, I can now understand most accents…except Geordie!
