    My favourite line!

“The man would be happy to feed us spaghetti O’s. Because HE loves us.”

And third favourite “Is quinoa French for traffic cone?” (No, it isn’t. Ground up traffic cone tastes better.)

(Second favourite came some weeks ago: “Spiders have thousands of eyes and no mercy.”)

Cats are creatures of habit. Once they find kibble they like, it’s best to stick to just buying them that and not deviate unless otherwise directed by the cat. ;-)

The look on Lupin’s face when he’s making the little remark about the man loving them….priceless.

A running joke that my wife and I have shared ever since this particular comic first came out…we now refer to bacon as “quinoa”. Something like “This mac and cheese would be even better with a little quinoa in it.” This strip in one of my absolute favorites, along with the “Elvis got beat up by a skunk” one from a few days ago. Puck has some of the absolutely best lines! “Is quinoa French for bacon?” :D

Best way to get a cat to eat it, eat it your self. Vlad likes tomatoes (yes, tomatoes), nectarines, and yogurt. Primarily because I’m eating it.

hhhmmmm….typical pet-owner mistake: they must like what we like. While that’s true of some things (notably steak, ham, burgers, chicken…see the pattern?) I’ve never had a dog come running when I’m chopping up greens, much less something like quinoa.

I don’t know why the vision of the Man popping open a can of Spaghetti-Os for the cats is funny but it is. Very. Studies show it would go over better than quinoa. :-)

Our cats prefer bacon to ham, but that’s just them.

Pucky does love his ham. “Is that ham?” “Is potato”

I had a dog with food allergies and he ate apples and carrots as his treats and loved them. In fact, within 5 minutes of being in my house, Mr. Pickles would have lured you to the fridge to procure him some treats.

My present pup was begging while I was chopping carrots one day and so I was giving her pieces of them, thinking that she liked them, too. That was until my husband came home (I was still working in the kitchen) asking, “Why are there carrots all over the floor?”

Worse: one of my cats won’t eat the same thing twice. I rotate the flavors each day so he’ll think it’s something “new”.

Cats should not be fed vegetables! Cats are carnivores, even more so than dogs. Their digestive systems are not designed to digest plants. Pet food companies market to humans so they try to make the food appealing to humans.
