Lupin: Another People holiday is happening. And trust me, this one makes no sense. Puck: What is a "leprechaun" and why am I dressed like this? Woman: Happy St. Patrick's Day, Elvis! Elvis: Don't touch me. I'm Siamese. Lupin: I'm usually all about tiny hats, but this one won't come off! Woman: ...And when you get to the end of a rainbow, there's a pot of gold! Elvis: I don't understand their religion at all. Lupin: I don't even think I'm Irish! I have a tail! Puck: That's Manx. They're Scottish. Lupin: Well, then, I have ears! Puck: Scottish folds are also Scottish. Lupin: Why are Scottish cats dropping body parts left and right? Puck: Hold on- Am I Scottish? Elvis: I think the Isle of Man is it's own thing. Note that Thailand, formerly Siam, is nowhere on this map. Man: Oh, honey, they hate all these holiday outfits. Lupin: Ugh, thank you. Woman: But they look so handsome! Puck: Feed me, I'm Scottish.

Pucky! I never thought about Scottish cats losing body parts! I guess you’re right, you must be Scottish!

The Isle of Man is a self-governing crown dependency. The Manx argue with the Icelanders about whose parliament is older. (One or the other is the oldest in the world.)
Why do Americans pretend to be Irish and keep an Irish holiday? Some Americans think that Irish ancestors make them Irish, but they seem to forget that those Irish ancestors were only too glad to get away from Ireland.
Lupin is absolutely right. It makes no sense.
And no, Puck, you are not Scottish. You are American.

@johnodrake These strips originally came out two per week, sometimes with gaps between weeks. Because the artist is transitioning to a new format, the old strips are being run every day as filler. The copyright date at the bottom is 2015.

johnodrake-this is a rerun, look at the copyright date-2015! We are all waiting for the new and improved (if that’s possible!) series when Georgia gets completely settled in! God bless cats!!

Ok, so I really don’t get this “lets dress the cats up” Perhaps it is related to children who supposedly like to dress and undress dolls. I hated that. The clothes were tight and hard to get on and off. I DID like drawing paper dolls and dressing them in different outfits with tabs – which of course meant they were always falling off, so still not good to dress and undress. Miss Furbie, my cat associate is free from all that and I’m sure she is thanking me as she curls up on her 4 ft scratchy tree to nap…

This is one of my favorites, I love Elvis saying don’t touch me I am Siamese and Puck wondering if he is Scottish and say feed me I am Scottish.
